“Eighteen-year-old Joseph Jurewic was was shot in the chest during a live-fire training drill on the Night Infiltration Course. Officials say that training drill has been halted while the investigation into Jurewic’s death continues.
The Army says Jurewic is the first soldier to die during training at Night Infiltration Course since it opened at Fort Jackson 20 years ago. He was fatally injured Monday during an exercise in which recruits crawl 100 meters on their bellies while bullets are fired above their heads and explosions go off.” – Article 1
