“A Fort Benning soldier who died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital has been identified as Spc. Anthony Walter McGill of Walnut, Calif.
McGill, 26, was assigned to the 192nd Infantry Brigade.
Authorities said the soldier in basic training collapsed Tuesday while on a two-mile run during a physical fitness test. He was immediately assisted by military personnel and taken to the hospital, where he never regained consciousness.” – Article 1
